A Snapshot of Short Creek’s History
1834

1954–1957
Third building constructed on land donated by John Whiteside. Paid off and dedicated by 1957.
1970–1975
Major improvements including stained glass, carpeting, brick façade, and a significant expansion.
1983
Pastorium purchased about a mile from the church.
Cemetery
Land gifted by the Dixon family—now one of the oldest and largest in the region. Annual homecomings every May.
Sept 2017
Ground was broken to start a new Fellowship Hall located behind the main church building. The project was completed in 2018 and paid off by 2023.
